Chief Instructor Simus is a Certified Instructor in Qi Gong, Yang Style Tai Chi, and Southern Shaolin Tiger & Crane Kung Fu. Chief Instructor Simus began his martial arts career in 2012 and was the owner of Golden Mountain Tai Chi in Taos, New Mexico for 4 years before joining the team at United Kung Fu and Untied Tai Chi and Wellness in 2019. Prior to his career in martial arts, Chief Instructor Simus was a Philosophy professor. He earned his PhD in Philosophy from the University of North Texas in 2009 and taught courses in Philosophy for 9 years. He is also a Certified Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner and an Ironman triathlon finisher.
